FRED TSAI

Growing up in Richmond, Fred's bike has been his main source of transportation. In fact, Fred's feet have not left the pedals since the age of four. Whether Fred is riding to the grocery store, jumping at the dirt park, mountain biking in whistler or killing time on his BMX, Fred and his bike go everywhere together. Ever since his first long-distance bike trip from Richmond to Victoria at the age of 13, Fred started road biking and has influenced others around him to do the same. From riding to work to hitting his 100km on weekend morning workouts, Fred is actively on his road bike. His favourite place to ride is from his home in Richmond to Horseshoe bay in West Vancouver.

Fred also played in the Richmond Minor Hockey Association for five years and played high school rugby for two seasons. He is currently involved in the Team Escape Velocity Bike Club, in preparation for the grand trip. Fred is now a student at British Columbia Institute of Technology studying Electrical and Computer Engineering while being on and off his work term.
